#2 Singapore Night Festival 2026
Singapore's iconic annual after-dark celebration returns this August, transforming the Bras Basah.Bugis precinct into a spectacular playground of light, art and performance.
This year's theme, "Myths and Legends," draws inspiration from local myths, folklore and stories connected to the historic Fort Canning area. Expect dazzling projections illuminating historic buildings, interactive light installations, street performances and creative works that bring the neighbourhood to life after dark.
For families, this is one of those events where the journey is just as exciting as the destination. Kids can wander through the illuminated streets, discover unexpected installations and experience Singapore's heritage in a completely different way.

#3 Light Together
Looking for a fun way to explore Singapore after sunset? Light Together Bras Basah.Bugis is a new night-time experience that transforms the historic Bras Basah.Bugis precinct with light installations and digital experiences inspired by local folklore and stories.
Taking place in the lead-up to the Singapore Night Festival, the experience brings five locations across the neighbourhood to life, including Artsplace @ Waterloo Centre, the Reflection Pool at Bras Basah MRT Station, Stamford Place, Stamford Walkway and the National Museum of Singapore.
Instead of staying in one location, families can turn this into a leisurely evening walk, moving from one installation to another while discovering some of Singapore's local stories and heritage along the way. It's a lovely way to introduce kids to Singapore's history without making it feel like a traditional museum visit.
The National Museum installation is only available from 1 to 12 August, so if you want to experience all five locations, plan your visit during the first 12 days of the month.

#4 Decathlon Sports Fest
Ready to get the whole family moving?
The Decathlon Sports Fest transforms the Singapore Sports Hub area into a giant interactive sports playground where families can try their hand at more than 30 different activities.
From climbing and ice hockey experiences to kayaking and other sports challenges, there is plenty to keep energetic kids entertained.

#5 Orchid Extravaganza
If your family enjoys beautiful gardens, nature and colourful displays, make sure to catch Orchid Extravaganza before it ends in early August.
This year's showcase at the Flower Dome celebrates the rich cultural heritage and biodiversity of Indonesia, featuring more than 7,000 orchids alongside large-scale woven artworks, sculptural installations and architectural elements inspired by traditional Indonesian design.
It's much more than a floral display. Families can use the experience as an opportunity to introduce children to different cultures, traditional craftsmanship and the incredible diversity of the orchid family.
Look out for the featured orchids, including the Moon Orchid, Ground Orchid and the impressive Tiger Orchid, one of the world's largest orchid species.

#6 Magical Island Adventure with Disney Cruise Line
Disney magic continues to take over Sentosa this August.
Inspired by the seven themed areas aboard the Disney Adventure, Disney Cruise Line's newest ship sailing from Singapore, this island-wide experience brings Disney-themed installations and activities to some of Sentosa's most popular locations.
Start your adventure with a ride on the Singapore Cable Car - Sentosa Line, where the cabins have been wrapped in Disney Cruise Line designs featuring much-loved characters.
Then explore different parts of the island, discovering immersive photo opportunities and themed installations along the way. Keep an eye out for locations inspired by characters and stories from Disney and Pixar.

#7 Monet Inside
If you loved the idea of Van Gogh Inside, you'll want to add Monet Inside to your August family activity list.
This immersive experience brings the world of Claude Monet to life through larger-than-life digital projections, classical music and captivating visuals that surround you with the artist's iconic landscapes and masterpieces.
It's a wonderful way to introduce children to Impressionist art without the formality of a traditional art gallery. Instead of simply looking at paintings on a wall, the whole family can step into Monet's world and experience his art through movement, light and sound.

#8 PopMart CRYBABY: "Cry Me an Ocean"
Get ready for one of the cutest underwater experiences in Singapore.
The popular pop-culture character CRYBABY takes over the viewing areas of the RWS Oceanarium in a whimsical collaboration that combines art and marine life.
Imagine exploring the underwater world while spotting CRYBABY-inspired installations alongside majestic marine creatures. The result is a colourful, emotional and highly Instagrammable experience that gives families plenty to look at.
It's also a great opportunity to introduce children to marine conservation while exploring one of Singapore's most impressive ocean attractions.

#9 F1 Exhibition Singapore
If your family loves cars, speed and everything motorsport, this is one exhibition you won't want to miss.
The world-famous Formula 1 Exhibition has made its Asian debut in Singapore, bringing together seven immersive galleries filled with legendary race cars, championship-winning moments, iconic memorabilia and interactive experiences.
Older kids can explore hands-on exhibits and discover the technology and engineering behind the world's fastest racing series, while parents can relive some of Formula 1's most memorable moments.
And, of course, there's the chance to experience the thrill of racing yourself with interactive racing simulators.

#10 Portals: An Epic Journey Through Fantasy & Sci-Fi
For kids who love fantasy, mythology and science fiction, PORTALS offers an immersive adventure into worlds that feel like they've come straight out of a movie.
The walk-through experience features towering physical sets, more than 300 original fantasy and sci-fi artworks and over 10,000 hand-painted miniatures spread across eight themed realms.
